Cookie Policy

The short version: we don’t sell your data, we don’t run advertising, and we don’t follow you around the internet. A few cookies do get set, and it would be daft to pretend otherwise, so here they are.

What gets set when you visit

  • Analytics — Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*). Counts visits and shows which pages actually get used, in aggregate. It isn’t tied to your name.
  • Taking a quizmusx_progress. Holds your place while you work through a quiz. It is a session cookie: your browser drops it the moment you close the tab.
  • Signing in to a dashboardmusx_sess. Set only if you use a sign-in link as a teacher or parent, and it keeps that browser signed in for 30 days. Without it the dashboards cannot work at all.
  • Paying__stripe_mid, set by Stripe on the checkout page to spot card fraud. We never see your card details.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising or retargeting pixels.
  • No cross-site tracking.
  • We don’t sell or rent your data to anyone.

A shared computer won’t leak your results

The cookie that remembers your quiz progress is cleared when you close the tab, and we never write your name or score into a cookie at all — results live in your emailed report and behind a link only you receive. That is deliberate: a shared school or library computer shouldn’t hand your results to the next person who sits down.

Turning them off

Every browser lets you block or clear cookies in its settings. The quizzes, the exam portal and your results all work without the analytics cookie — nothing you rely on depends on it. The sign-in cookie is the one exception: block it and the teacher and parent dashboards cannot keep you signed in.
